AMS Personnel Earn Soldering Certifications
Chesterland, OH -- Aerospace Maintenance Solutions (AMS) announces that soldering certifications have been earned by all technicians at the company. IPC (Association Connecting Electronics Industries) provided the training, which they provide to the entire electronic interconnection industry.
“In an effort to keep our service work at peak performance, AMS has recently trained and re-certified our entire technical production staff to the most current IPC soldering standards in accordance with J-STD-001,” says Denette Ditmer, the company’s Production Manager. “All technicians are now qualified as Certified IPC Specialist or CIS."
The certification programs for electronics manufacturers increase the AMS employees’ technical vocational knowledge, improve the quality of the company’s operations, and provide ways to enhance AMS business.
Certification affects all facets of the company’s capabilities for the printed circuit board industry. In addition to maintenance operations performed at the company’s facilities, AMS technicians use their soldering training for the design, development, and manufacturing of customized printed circuit boards and other electronics projects they produce for private companies like Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky as well as projects performed for the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Air Force, and other branches of the military.
