USAF and DLA Approve AMS as Manufacturer of Lamp Driver Unit

Solon, OH – The U.S. Air Force’s 409th Supply Chain Management division and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) have approved Aerospace Maintenance Solutions, LLC (AMS) as a qualified source for manufacture of part number 3341681-1, THREAT WARNING ASSEMBLY, LAMP DRIVER UNIT. This C-130 component was previously manufactured by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in Marietta, GA. The NSN for the Lamp Driver Unit is 1680-01-392-8471.

The Lamp Driver Unit provides a buffer for signals sent to the threat indicators on the pilots’ and copilots’ instrument panels and at the navigator stations. A fuse holder and a 26-pin connector are mounted on the front cover. The DC/DC converter uses aircraft 28VDC power and provides a regulated 5VDC supply for the isolation and driver circuits.

In addition to units mentioned above, AMS supports many other legacy components on C-130s and other military aircraft. The company has a long history of developing unique and rare MRO capabilities for multiple branches of the U.S. Government. Comprehensive engineering and support programs are developed within an AS9110 environment. Schematics, parts breakdowns, and test procedures developed within this environment support on-going operation of components, and the mission readiness of the U.S. Military customers as well as foreign military allies.
