AMS VIDS capabilities identified for UH-60 end users

Chesterland, OH — Aerospace Maintenance Solutions, LLC (AMS) repairs and overhauls components within the UH-60’s Vertical Instrument Display Systems (VIDS). But as some UH-60s are being transitioned to non-military applications, repair and test procedures require modifications to meet new customer requirements. In these cases, AMS works with customers to test, repair, and document the changes in accordance with new requirements and applications for UH-60s.

A new document published by AMS describes the company’s testing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of VIDS components on UH-60s.  AMS has in-house test equipment used for maintaining and sustaining VIDS components. AMS technicians are trained to operate test equipment associated with each VIDS component. All tests and repair procedures are conducted within the company’s approved AS9110 Quality system.

AMS offers a combination of solutions for each VIDS component serviced: The Central Display Unit (CDU), Pilot Display Unit (PDU), and the Signal Data Converter. Solutions for cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, technical troubleshooting, design, diminishing sources of replacement components, procurement, and maintenance are rendered on an “as needed” basis, depending upon the individual requirements and preferences of customers.  Repairs, testing procedures, and other relevant practices used for returning VIDS components to service are documented by AMS.
